Our Beginnings

Cause for Action is the brainchild of Samara Iodice, who serves as CFA President in addition to lending her talents to writing, photographing, and producing many of CFA's projects. Samara began her career as an Environmental Engineer and has worked in the hazardous waste, agricultural, and water resources areas. As her science background evolved, so did her desire to make a difference for the environment, as well as for a variety of social and animal welfare causes. She found that developing print and web publications, as well as video training and documentaries, had a far-reaching effect, and for several years she secretly filed away the idea for Cause for Action as she expanded her experience and knowledge by working as a writer, instructional designer, producer, and web designer for such clients/employers as Amgen, WellPoint, London Business School, Rice University, lynda.com, and the U.S. Navy. Behnd the scenes she was steadily and successfully building her photography, writing, and website portfolio. Finally, the time was ripe, and she decided it was time to launch CFA.
